Training

Training is an essential component to the overall commitment ShurKote makes to the Stucco and EIFS industry.  Training is not just a “one shot” process.  Just as the codes change the stucco and EIFS systems need to change to meet the new requirements.  A change within the systems requires changes in the system details, new product data sheets, and potentially new specifications.  It is in the best interest of ShurKote to maintain an ongoing training program for the Architects, the Design Professional, the Builders, and the Applicators. 

The training program is designed around the AIA Continuing Education Program. There is a considerable amount of time between the initial project concept and the start of construction; therefore it is essential to work closely with the design professioals during this process. 

Similarly, it is just as important to keep the General Contractor or Builder well informed of what is being said to the architectural community.  With the design professionals and the general contractor knowing the latest requirements for applying trowel applied coatings there will potentially be far fewer problems during construction. 

The final link in the training process is to keep the stucco applicator just as informed as the design professional and the builder. This process simply maintains a line of communication between all parties and represents a unified team concept in providing the best possible product to the consumer. 

The three training programs cover the same information with a slightly different emphasis for each separate entity.

1. The architectural program deals mainly with ShurKote as a company and the products available.  The program is titled:  Properly Specifying Trowel Applied Coatings by ShurKote”.
   
   
2. The builder program deals primarily on how to evaluate when the project is ready for the ShurKote products and how to prevent potential problem areas.  This program is titled:  “Requirements for Preparing for Trowel Applied Coatings by ShurKote”.
   
   
3. The applicator program is mainly concerned with the proper application techniques and proper terminations of the system.  This program is titled:  “Proper Application and Termination of Trowel Applied Coatings by ShurKote”.
